Hi!

Hi! I’m Isaac

He/They

As a Latinx queer kiddo, I had no idea I would grow up and call myself bisexual, partner with a man, and love getting Joe’s scruffy kisses. Had you shown me a photo of what my life would look like, I might have crumbled in shear devastation.

I took pride in knowing that I would do the ‘right’ thing by marrying a woman, living life as a closeted person. The closet felt comfortable for many reasons, specifically because I was safe there.

Along the journey to the life I now happily live, I had so many questions about love, relationships, and what it meant to be a bisexual man in a heteronormative world. Queer sex, an out life, and long-term love stumped me.

So hungry for answers, I headed off to graduate schools to study sexuality, gender, and human development. Finding answers to questions surrounding my sexuality, my femininity, and my attractions was the goal. I felt like I was reinventing the wheel.

I feel in love with counseling psychology and started iAmClinic to help queer folks who needed help finding answers to their questions, too. iAmClinic and Queer RelationTips are dreams come true!

I’ve been lucky to be featured on National Public Radio, contribute to several books, and host international conferences for thousands of LGBTQ+ folks. And when I’m not working, you can find me eating Joe’s yummy food!

Hi!

Hi! I’m Jamie

They/Them

From a young age, Jamie has been fascinated by relationship dynamics and the inner workings of the human psyche.

They have experienced redemption and healing on an individual, spiritual, familial, and relational level throughout their life. Many years of clinical training, experience, and personal healing have served to ground Jamie in an authentic posture of hopefulness for the people they support.

Jamie has a Masters in Arts in Clinical Mental Health and a Postgraduate Certificate in Marriage and Family therapy with over 8 years of experience. They have facilitated relationship and life-skill workshops over the past seven years throughout Colorado and is currently a Clinical Associate at iAmClinic.

Jamie brings a wealth of knowledge to Queer RelationTips. Their warmth is soothing and intelligence inspiring.

Jamie’s perspective as a gender non-binary person, soon-to-be parent, and clinician has led them to lead one of the premier training programs for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists in the State of Colorado. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on their RelationTips!
