Knowing that a coming out can have life-long effects, most parents worry with deep concern or panic. As a result, many parents want to be part of their children’s decision-making process.
Our main goal is to help parents learn about their children’s experiences, attune to their children’s internal reality, and become familiar with medical research so they are empowered to love their children well and keep them safe.
We understand that family conversation can be very challenging, especially when opinions don’t align and beliefs differ.
We are trained to help families communicate through their challenges. Whether it be learning about your child’s sexual orientation or their gender identity, ensuring their safety without causing conflict, or using unfamiliar language, we will help your family communicate effectively and find peace.
Meeting the specific needs that you may have, individual sessions are tailored to fully address your challenges with caution, care, and detailed consideration. Working with your primary therapist, you’ll be able to understand the anatomy of your discomfort, what it takes to deconstruct it, and how to build happiness and peace.
Many couples get stuck in the web they created either unintentionally or subconsciously. Your couple’s therapist will be able to determine how the web was made and how to tear it down. We’ll help you communicate efficiently, honoring one another’s version of the truth, and create patterns for staying connected for the long haul.
Parents feel disrespected and frustrated while their children feel trapped and invisible. Although the ongoing power struggle keeps families hopeless, your family therapist will work to dismantle the entrenched dynamics that keep you arguing.
