I identify as a bisexual/queer cis-woman and I honor therapy as a space where all of our identities are important. I believe that when we experience hardship without support, we learn to defend against emotions that would be simply too much to hold alone.

I specialize in complex trauma and PTSD treatment with teenagers and adults. The focus of my professional career has been providing treatment to individuals and communities who face developmental, systemic, and intergenerational trauma. I have been privileged to work with communities in the rural and urban parts of Latin America and across the United States. Through this work, I witnessed the universality of trauma and the strength within humans to hope, to heal, and to grow.

My bicultural background allows me to support different communities through a culturally-sensitive framework, using attachment theory, integrative, neurobiological, and somatic-based approaches. I believe in the capacity of the brain to change throughout life and in the healing power of safe and validating relationships. I am passionate about client-centered therapy, individualized treatment, and empowering clients through self-understanding and self-compassion. I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQIA+ and Latinx communities and helping individuals who are navigating discomfort and confusion with their beliefs and values or leaving a religious organization. I am committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, discover their own truth, and heal from the trauma that can accompany religious disaffiliation.

I also specialize in working with cross-cultural couples, through attachment-based interventions, The Gottman Method, and teachings by relationship expert, Esther Perel. I am dedicated to helping couples navigate the unique challenges and opportunities presented by their diverse cultural backgrounds. I believe that effective communication, empathy, and mutual understanding are essential to building healthy and fulfilling relationships. By integrating evidence-based approaches with a culturally-sensitive lens, I help couples overcome obstacles and strengthen their connection.
